Rob’s well trained eye for improving business plans and strategies help his clients succeed. His role is more as a financial advisor than a ‘typical accountant’ by focusing on ways to better succeed in the future, his personal vision is the same as Entrust’s to add value to his clients.
Rob specializes in family owned companies where he can align the corporate structure to maximize long term family wealth accordingly. The small businesses his clients represent vary from home renovations to cell phone sales whom he assists on improving their short term profitability by setting benchmarks, and brainstorming ideas and sales strategies to achieve these.
Working closely with his clients, Rob has been able to offer corporate restructuring to new and existing clients to help take advantage of the new eligible dividends tax laws, implementing a family trust to sprinkle to the adult kids has saved his clients significant taxes.
Rob takes his passion for owner-managed business to the community. He assists young entrepreneurs with lectures at the YMCA New Ventures progam, and occasionally lectures at Vancouver Community College on financial management. He has served as the Treasurer for Parent Support Services of BC since 2005 and is a proud part of a strong board that helps support parents raise children.
