History

Formerly known as Wootton, King & Mulhern, Entrust was formed in 1991, and has since expanded from a three-person company to a thriving team that serves clients throughout the Lower Mainland and in Fort St. John.

Nigel King and Doug Wootton, who previously ran a practice in Richmond for a large, international accounting firm, established Entrust with the intention of offering high-quality accounting services to owner-managed businesses. Ron Mulhern later brought his tax expertise to Entrust, becoming a partner in 1993.

Scott Armstrong was welcomed as a partner in 2001. Known for his attentive, proactive service and innovative solutions, Scott serves clients in a wide range of industries and travels frequently to Fort St. John to manage Entrust’s satellite office.

The most recent partner to join Entrust is Cathie Savoie. In addition to continuing her previous duties of serving clients and mentoring staff, Cathie is excited to become involved in new business generation. She also enjoys sharing her business savvy by hosting regular seminars.

Nigel King, remains as a consultant on a special-project basis after having ventured out to start his own practice to focus on this niche.

As the name “Wootton, King and Mulhern” no longer accurately reflects the makeup of the partnership, the name “Entrust” has been chosen to best express the client-centered emphasis of the firm.

As Scott puts it, “The name ‘Entrust’ speaks to what our clients do every time they hand us a piece of work – they’re entrusting us with a piece of their future - trusting us to use all of our professional skills and knowledge to help them with their financial and business goals and to take those goals as seriously as they do.”
